Mr D and I created this sewing box in the late 1990s to honor our Granddaughter upon her receiving her Master's Degree. The entire year that I worked on the stitching and the months that he worked at designing and creating this box we talked about how proud we are of this first-born grandchild. However when it was time to finish up we both came to the conclusion that we really wanted to own this special piece for awhile so we decided that it would be our celebration of both Erin's achievement and our 15th wedding anniversary! We have the box but when we're finished with it Erin will receive it knowing that we made it with love and pride.

This type of project works best when it's created just for a special piece of needlework so tell us the dimensions of the pieces you have stitched in the notes section of the shopping cart and the box will be made to receive those pieces. If you want one exactly like ours and will create the pieces to fit just place the order and tell us in the notes section to send you our box!

Rhonda liked the Christmas Treasures box so well she asked Mr D to make one to fit the Nancy's Needle Two Cabins design. In it she keeps her Gingher shears, a quilter's dream scissor. Have you stitched one of these lovely Nancy's Needle designs (see them here) and need a place for them to live? This is the box for you! The black box is 2" deep with a cherry fading to dark lid, is lined in suede and hinged with gold tone hinges. It sits on ¼" button feet. Please note, because each stitcher's work is unique it's best to order your box after you've completed your piece then measure it exactly. Enter those measurements in the Notes section of the last page of the Shopping Cart and we will make the box to your exact specifications.
